Of course, in the world of internet marketing, it goes without saying that you want to choose the tools that provide you with the maximum return on investment. This is why many online business professionals are paying a great deal of attention to what is being offered by some of the most respected names in SEO today – Wordtracker, Overture, and Google Keyword Select. The two tools most prominent in this discussion are the Google Keyword Select Tool and Microsoft’s Keyword Density Tool. Although they are not generally considered among the best overall tools, they can be extremely useful for your online campaigns if used correctly. However, you may be wondering why it is that you would want to use the Google External Tool. What is the advantage of using this instead of the Google density checker? Actually, it is quite simple. If you have read my previous articles about how the Google Keyword Selector and the Google density checker are designed to function in almost the same way, then you will know why I am not talking about the efficiency of their functionality here.
Rather than trying to use the density checker or the Google planner, you can simply use the Google External Tool to determine keyword difficulty. As already explained above, the main advantage of this tool is that it can provide the much needed information on keyword difficulty from a different angle. If you want to know how difficult is it to rank for a specific keyword, you simply enter a URL in the tool’s fields and wait for the results. Here’s what you get:
For this article, I am going to refer to the second option, which is the Google Volume Tool. This is not the most ideal option, since it does not provide any information on keyword difficulty (Volume Tool has only text frequency). However, if you need to test several combinations, this is a good option for you. The reason I say that this option is not the best one is because it is very time consuming. If you are already tired of Google, you may not be willing to spend some more time here.
The third option, which is the Google Analyzer, is the best option, especially if you are already familiar with the process of finding keywords. The problem with the Analyzer is that it is unable to provide any information on the competition level for each keyword, since it cannot use the keywords generator. What you can use this analyzer for, however, is tracking the traffic of the articles that you are writing and publishing. The nice thing is that the Analyzer works on link popularity and on the number of searches done for the selected keywords.
The last option, the Volume Planner from Google, which is the third option in the list, is another interesting analytical tool that will help you a lot in monitoring the evolution of your keywords. The nice thing about this option is that it will provide you with an insight on how many searches have been done for each search term and on the number of web pages that contain the selected search term. All of these options are useful for you in making decisions for the optimization of your website.
